JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities:
• Build software solutions and functionality to meet customer requirements
• Drive best practice methodologies for development and deployment
• Improve application functionality, performance, reliability, and scalability
• Migrate on-prem enterprise application to Google Cloud Platform
Experience:
• Professional enterprise application development experience, designed for capacity and scalability
• Full lifecycle software development experience using Agile/Scrum
• Ability to establish guidelines, best practices, processes, and governance
• Strong problem solving, debugging, and solution development skills
• Experience with DevOps
• Experience doing discovery, use case analysis, and communication with key stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 5+ years professional Java enterprise application development experience
• Minimum 3+ years SQL and/or ORM development experience
• Minimum 2+ years cloud development experience
• 1+ years’ experience on PL/ PostgreSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views
• Experience for the configuration and troubleshooting Cloud services
• Experience deploying an application on Cloud using Kubernetes Engine, etc.
• Experience working with: Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, etc.
• Working experience in: Maven, Git, DevOps, etc.
• 2+ years’ experience developing microservices and messaging based applications, preferably using Kafka or Google Pub/Sub
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Advanced technical degree and/or related training a plus
• Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
Nice to have Qualifications:
• Google Cloud Platform experience
• Drools knowledge
• PostgreSQL
• Experience using Spring Boot
• REST API development experience
• Experience working with large datasets using PostgreSQL in the GCP infrastructure
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation level
